President's Letter
Dear members of the Real Club Maritimo de Sotogrande, dear friends who love nautical sports, the sea and Sotogrande.
It has only been a month since the new Board of Directors has been elected and we are already dedicating a lot of time to setting up a project whose soul continues to be sailing in Sotogrande.
This new Board of Directors is made up of members of the previous one, because we are going to continue on the good track record achieved so far, and it is also made up of new additions who bring passion for sailing in Sotogrande.
We feel committed to the legacy of Antonio Muñoz, founder and first president of the RCMS, to the legacy of his successor Enrique Berazad, currently our Honorary President, and to the legacy of Enrique Benjumea, previous president.
We want the Sotogrande beach sailing school to continue promoting the hobby among children and teenagers and for its infrastructure to also allow teenagers and young people to practice their hobby.
We will also work to make the school more active in the winter. Every year the permanent population of Sotogrande is larger and the sea conditions are exceptional in winter and we want to offer teenagers the possibility of continuing to enjoy sailing once they have overcome the Optimist and before moving on to catamarans.
And we are not going to forget the young and not so young people interested in cruising.
This website seeks to permanently inform you of all the relevant news regarding the sailing school, the regattas that we organize and those that are held in other clubs in which our members participate.
It also provides information on hours of our headquarters, its cafeteria and restaurant.
Enjoy our club, sailing or motor sailing on our coast and our headquarters.
Ignacio de Colmenares
